Morning To-Do List (work on IXL)
*I have added more skills to IXL for Language Arts and Math.
Art and Writing:
It is supposed to be a beautiful day outside today, so we are going to write a story about a shadow animal. First, get outside and trace a shadow animal or use a flashlight inside if the rain doesn't stop. Have your child color and give it details. Second, write a five sentence or more paragraph about where the animal lives and what it looks like. Remind them to give it a name. I want them to underline the adjectives red and adverbs blue. Please remind them about punctuation. Third, send it to me.
Math:
Get the Play-Doh back out or straws and pipe cleaners or mini-marshmallows and toothpicks because they are making geometrical shapes. We did this in class and the kids loved it.
Afternoon To-Do List (work on IXL)
Since we are learning about animal habitats, I am sending the children on a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo. Click on the Fire Salamander to head to the San Diego Zoo.
